High School to 4Cs Articulation Transfer Agreements

Connecting Career and Technical Education (CTE) at Massachusetts High Schools to Higher Education opportunities at Cape Cod Community College (4Cs) through Statewide and Local Independent Articulation Agreements.

Through officially approved and mapped agreements for specific high school programs and coursework, 4Cs awards college credit to eligible high school students towards an academic degree.  Graduating high school students, and students within two years of high school graduation who meet all requirements and enroll at 4Cs can request to have credit applied. Students who have graduated high school within five years of applying to 4Cs can be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Under a Statewide or Local Independent Articulation Agreement, students must meet the following requirements to receive college credit at 4Cs:

  • Successful completion of the articulated program or courses
  • A "B" (3.0) grade point average in the articulated program or courses
  • A “C” (2.0) overall average on final high school transcript
  • Graduate of the high school
  • Application and acceptance
  • Enrollment in classes
  • Verification of requirements met provided to Admissions from the high school of graduation

Statewide Articulation Agreements

Through a statewide articulation taskforce, multiple agreements have been established across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts between all 15 Massachusetts Community Colleges and all Chapter 74 Vocational Technical High Schools, as well as Non-Chapter 74 High Schools with Chapter 74 programs that meet the Statewide Articulation Agreements requirements.

These agreements allow for eligible students to enroll at any of the community colleges and receive college credits for work completed while at the high school.  Of the 14 statewide agreements, 4Cs honors those listed in the table below.

Students completing the following programs and all requirements can earn the following credit at 4Cs:

There are academic programs that are in the same or related area of your studies, as well as other disciplines that your earned credits could apply as electives. Talking to an Admissions Counselor at 4Cs will help you to decide what the best major is for you based on your goals, interests and career path.
